Well, let’s see where to start. At the end of August I was invited to bring the boat down to Matagorda for a few days of fishing. We fished from 40-60 miles out everyday and caught amberjack to 80 lbs, black fin tuna, released lots of huge snapper. Boxed a few cobia and several kingfish. On the way back to Galveston, I started having engine problems that progressed to two blown power heads so since Labor Day I’ve been grounded. Parts are in and my mechanic is working hard on getting them back together. Hopefully a week and I’ll be back at it. Meanwhile, I know lots of red drum are being caught at the jetties and flounder have started making their move.
Keep watching, I’ll let you know when I’m back on the water.
